Study Workload: 6 hours per week
Course Outline: The course consists of 6 modules as follows:

  • Work priorities and scheduling
  • Working in the practice environment
  • Working with practice administration
  • An awareness of medico-legal issues
  • Communication and the practice
  • Financial record-keeping
Assessment comprises a number of small work-based assignments to satisfy the competency requirements.

Given that some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning assessment process is available to acknowledge skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
