Study Workload: 6 hours per week
Entry Requirements: There are no pre-requisites, however it is ideal if participants are working in a practice or have access to a practice environment. Typically students will be in a managerial role responsible for the operational management of the practice, and working under the guidance of a practice manager or principal.
Course Outline: The course consists of 5 modules as follows:

  • Taking control of my career
  • Risk and compliance
  • Customer service
  • Recruitment and team effectiveness
  • Business management systems.
Assessment will be through workplace projects addressing each unit of competency within the modules. Learning activities and assessment tasks are designed around real practice situations so that the learning experience can be applied directly to the workplace.
