Study Workload: 6 hours per week
Entry Requirements: There are no pre-requisites, however it is ideal if participants are working in a practice or have access to a practice environment. Typically students will be experienced practice managers with a range of business management responsibilities including financial reporting, leadership and team building, budgeting and cost control, quality management and business planning and development.
Course Outline: The course consists of 7 modules as follows:

  • Managing a practice
  • Risk and compliance II
  • Managing customer service
  • Budgets: a strategic tool
  • Managing people performance
  • Leadership in the 21st century
  • Planning the future of your practice
Assessment will be through workplace projects addressing each unit of competency within the modules. Learning activities and assessment tasks are designed around real practice situations so that the learning experience can be applied directly to the workplace.
